The Society holds it regular meetings on the fourth (4th) Monday of each month. (Except December & January.) The meetings are held in the ‘Royal Society Building’ behind the Museum of South Australia and the State Library. Enter off Kintore Street and follow the map below.
Meetings commence at 7.30pm and each meeting has a new and different topic and speaker. Members and guests are invited to bring along any specimens that they might want identified or that they feel might be of interest. These specimens do not need to be relevant to the topic on the night, and a microscope is usually on hand to use where required.
Membership is open to anyone with an interest in Minerals, Mineralogy, Geology and any other related topics. Members do not need to be professionals in any field, and the Society openly encourages amateurs and students to become members. In this way, the Society hopes to continue with its objectives. We encourage you to consider the benefits of expanding your interest through membership with the ‘Mineralogy Society of South Australia’ and invite you to become a member.
The curent cost of membership is :

Associate Member - $10
SA country & Interstate Member - $ 20.00
